Lake Waihau
Lake Waihau is one of the Tiniroto group of lakes and is situated to the east of Lake Kaikereru on the northern side of Ruakaka Road. The lake is 10.1 ha in area and is steep sided. In 2017 NIWA reported an unusually large population of At Risk Recovering dabchick (Poliocephalus rufopectus) (NIWA, 2017).
