Lake Hawdon is a moderately sized lake in the upper Waimakariri River catchment. The lake covers an area of 35 hectares and has a maximum depth of 3.5 m. Hawdon has low-moderate concentrations of nutrients and has water that is generally clear in nature (source lawa.co.nz).
